What is health?
According to World Health Organisation(WHO) health is defined as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
The physical,mental, and social aspects of health are equally important and are very much related to each other. These three aspects of the health are the pillars that keep the health standing.
The Physical Health: How to keep it good?
The physical means the totally of the body.
- Eat healthy: The first and foremost part to be healthy is to eat healthy. Eat good food.Add more vegetables and fruit to your diet. Eliminate all the junk and oily food because these are silent killers. Junk food can satisfy your need for a temporary time but in the long run it has many bad effect on the health. It may be obesity. Have a healthy diet if yo cant make on for yourself hen seek help from a nutritionist.
- Get proper sleep: If you are driving a car then you should allow the car to rest for sometime. if it does not get rest then it will not perform well.Likewise, you must also get good sleep to be active throughout the day. Getting 6-8 hours of sleep is must.If you re getting less than that then the very next morning you wake up you will feel dizziness and a strong desire to feel asleep which will eventually result in your poor performance at the workplace.
- Exercise: Getting good amount of exercise daily has miraculous effect on health. It reduces your weight, it reduces risks of heart disease, it helps in quitting smoking,it has also effect on mental health and mood change.
The Mental Health:
The mental aspect of the health is the most crucial and the vital pat. It is ike the large chunk of ice that remains submerged in water.If your mental health is good then the greater part of the problem is solved.
- The problems may be varying like-depression,demotivation,break up, losing family and friends, losing job, or one might have a war going up in his head.The reason may be anyone of the above or even different.
- The result of poor mental health: The result includes loss of energy to do work,lack of attention, short attention spans, loss of appetite, uneasiness etc. The loss of appetite may cause very adverse on physical health.If you don't eat then your body will not get proper vitamins and nutrients required for well functioning of the body. Due to no proper food one can even develop various symptoms of malnutrition.
- Due to poor mental health one can even start smoking or drinking alcohol hoping it to be a cure to the problems. But it actually creates grave problem on the body. We all know how ill effect smoking and drinking on health.
- The poor mental health also lead to poor social health.
- A very good cure to mental health is doing exercise and meditation.It actually calms your mind and helps you have control over things happening with you.
The Social Health:
The social health in plain words means how you interact with society and people around you. The social health involves the ability to satisfy the interpersonal relationships.
The basis of good social health is laid by communication skills, empathy for others, compassion, acceptance etc. Its like being good to others.
The mental health has role to play. If your mental health is poor then its quite natural that you will sit alone and will not involve yourself with others, it means you will not be interacting with people like you did before and it will create a social distancing.A poor mental health can affect your social health too.
Likewise, if your social health is poor if you are not interacting or communicating with people then you might feel depressed and effects of poor mental health is dealt above.
